Kawaii Review: BH Cosmetics Brushes

Hello Hello, Lil Buns!

Today I wanted to review a set of makeup brushes I got late last year. I actually still have a few items I got that never made it to a review....I know, bad blogger hehe....

But anyway, since I've become a gal, I've been working hard at my wardrobe, accessories and finally makeup. My sis gave me some starter makeup brushes but there were a few more kinds that I still needed. I also only use products that are at least cruelty-free. Which my starter brushes just so happened to be...

BH Cosmetics

BH Cosmetics is an LA-based cruelty-free makeup company that sells brushes, makeup and even storage. The brushes I already had were from this company. They're pretty affordable and decent quality.

I was tired of trying to get each individual brush I needed so I decided to take a look at all of the makeup companies I follow on social media. BH was the cheapest and had a very nice range of brush sets.

I was looking for one that had brushes for all of the products I actually use. I had about 4 picked out before I finally managed to make my choice. Each had few differences in types of brushes and even a different design!

I went with...

11 pc Pink-A-Dot Brush Set

My order arrived very quickly and safely. All of the brushes came packaged in plastic which were all inside the matching case.

At the top you can see the BH Cosmetics logo.

What I love about this case is that it stays shut with two snaps on either side. So if I ever need to travel, I can make sure all of my brushes are in one place and protected.

And here are the brushes!

The pattern is in the same colors as the case but just reversed.

Here is a handy breakdown of all the brushes in the set!

Packaging: 10/10
It's both cute and practical. The case is sturdy enough to protect the brushes and polka-dots are always an adorable print.

Appearance: 9/10
Each brush picks up a very good amount of product. Even with the cream-based eye shadows. I still can't use anything but my fingertip for the glitter ones, though. So that made me a little sad. But it's no fault of the brushes. I just wish I could find one XD

Here is a pic of my make using one of the brushes for Colourpop eye shadow. The green is a matte shade. The white is a super shock and had to be put on with my fingertip.

Ease of Use: 10/10
Once you learn which brush is used for which product or purpose, they are all very easy to use. It's pretty simple.

Cost: 10/10
Even at full price, they're still super affordable! Most brush sets will be 50$ and up and be pro level but I think this is a good brand to start off with.

Overall: 9.7
I love this set. I was surprised by how thick the fan brush was because I thought they were supposed to be on the thin side. But I can deal with it since I use it with the Wet n' Wild Contour palette which is pretty big. It's a great brush set for the price.

That's all for now! See you next time!
