Anime Watch: Michiko to Hatchin

Hiyo lil bunnies!

Haven't posted one in a while but I finally got a series you should really check out! It really reminds me of a modern day Cowboy Bebop that takes place on Earth and if Faye and Ed were mom and daughter. Strange right?

Have you ever heard of Michiko to Hatchin (ミチコとハッチン /Michiko & Hatchin)? It's a story about an unlikely pair trying to find freedom. They came from two very different scenarios, both of which are terrible.

Michiko is an escaped convict looking for the daughter of her lover after he died in an explosion. She kicks ass, is very passionate about what she believes in and has a heart of gold. She's also very protective of Hana (aka Hatchin).

Hatchin's story begins with showing us how horrible her foster family is. It's basically a much more abusive Cinderella situation and all the family cares about is money. Every day she wishes for someone to come and take her away from it all.

And that's exactly what Michiko does.

I won't spoil what happens in the rest of the story in case you want to watch it. Michiko and Hatchin run into many different people, some even from Michiko's past and of course get into a lot of trouble. All while trying to find Hatchin's father so they can have a happy ending. One thing I love about this series is that even though Hatchin isn't even her daughter, Michiko loves her like one and does anything to protect her. They get into fights, get separated and just try to survive. With everything they go through, it shows that you don't have to be related by blood to be family.

I just finished this series and I loved it from beginning to end. The story takes place in a fictional town in Brasil. So the music, character and environment designs are all based around it. It's really beautifully done and I just love the art. They even mix a little of the slang into the Japanese if you're watching the original series (aka not dub...which I haven't seen yet).

This very picture!

I'm just really sad that other than Tumblr, there isn't really much on the internet about it (and it's been around since 2009!). I just happened to randomly find it on Tumblr because of a photo (above) from one of the early episodes. I saw Michiko's design and fell in love!

I hope you'll check out this series! It's full of action, friendship, love, betrayal and family. But do be mindful that it does have violence, drugs, alcohol, death, blood, gangs and partial nudity! You can watch it in the original Japanese or watch the dub by Funimation!

That's all for now! See you next time!

New Series! Sailor Moon 30 Day Challenge: Day 1 - When You Started Watching Sailor Moon.

Hiyo lil bunnies!

I know I have like three other challenges going on but they're actually a lot of fun to do! So I decided to add yet another one. (And when I feel like I'm more of a Gyaru, I'll add that one too XD ) This series is on everybody's favorite: Sailor Moon!

Day 1 - When You Started Watching Sailor Moon.

I'm happy to say I started watching this series in the 90s when it was first dubbed by DiC. It was on TV super early in the morning before I had to go to school. I always watched shows while getting ready and when Sailor Moon started airing, I was hooked!

Now this was before I knew it was an anime and didn't know anything about the original series. So I thought everything was the way it was supposed to be as it was showed in the dub. Much later when I got to see the subbed version, I realized how wrong I was. LOL!

But either way, I became a huge fan of one of the biggest inspirations of my life. I also got to learn more about different anime series and started collections! Sailor Moon is definitely one of the series that changed my life. And I'm glad it exists. It's a huge part of who I am today!

So that's Day 1 of this series. Hope you continue to read and enjoy these with me!

When did you start watching Sailor Moon?

That's all for now! See you next time!

Kawaii Review: Boobie Buns Dress by Sugar Junkie

Hiyo lil bunnies! Here is a kawaii review for you today on my friend's awesome shop Sugar Junkie!

If you haven't heard of it before, it's run by the awesome Jamie who is an amazing crafter and designer. If you've been reading my blog long enough, you'll remember the older review I did for her here! Since that review, her shop grew a lot and carries more goodies like kitty lollipops, Die Antwoord, and mermaid necessities~

There are beautiful resin pieces, crocheted work, candles and now apparel! All of the designs are her own and you can find tights, dresses and even crop tops. One of my favorite pieces, which I bought and showing you today, is her adorable Boobie Buns Dress!

Photo as on Etsy shop

Here is the dress all laid out! It's a skater dress so it's very comfy and stretchy. Made of a poly/spandex mix!

Close-up of the top where the Boobie Buns are! XD They really do sit right on your boobies LOL! I love how clear and clean the design is. The colors are bright and vivid. I think she did an amazing job. (Please excuse the creases! >.< I literally took it right out of the package when taking the photos! So do expect them from shipping! I promise they come out!)

Shots of the front and back

There's even a cute little pink bow on the back so it's not just a plain back. And the dress itself is true to the picture that's like a turquoise blue/green mix. And the stars look like colorful konpeito candy!

Here are some pics of it being worn~!

It was actually really warm the day I wore it but I was super comfortable! Even with me wearing tights...heehee. I bought it in a Medium size and paired it with my bunny flats from Loli Loli Paradise and bunny face tights. The pink of the dress matched perfectly with my shoes! I'm so happy it worked out like that!

You can also see that after wearing it, the creases disappeared~

The dress is fitted at the top and flares out at the bottom and not just hanging flat. It fits me just right and I can't believe how comfortable it is to wear! It works for all of my styles and I can pretty much wear it anytime of the year. And Jamie is a sweetheart! SUPER happy with this purchase!

If bunnies aren't your thing, she also has cupcakes, fried eggs, mermaid scales and even a marshmallow pentagram. So there is definitely something for everyone!
