Mermaid Parade 2017!

Hello Hello, Lil Buns!

Last Saturday, I went to my very first Mermaid Parade in Coney Island!

Every year, Coney Island has this amazing parade to celebrate the beginning of summer. Everyone dresses up as everything related to the ocean including mermaids (of course), seahorses, fish, crustaceans and tons of other creatures! Some are funny and some are just beautiful.

I didn't really have any costume or try to make one because of the weather. It did rain on and off almost all day. So I just did a casual mermaid-themed Gyaru coord.

Hey buns! Today I went with friends to the #MermaidParade2017 at Coney Island! I even got to dress up and finally got lower lashes on! We saw so many beautiful people and had a blast with everyone! ☆The Little Gyaru Mermaid☆

The parade started at 1 so I had to leave my house around 10am! I was basically taking the train from one end to the other which is about 2 hours traveling Dx

When I got to my stop, it was filled with tons of people! Many were in costume so there were lots of people taking photos. Luckily, I found my friends very quickly. We made our way over to where the parade was going and found a pretty good spot. My friends mostly took photos because I didn't want to try to juggle the umbrella too XD

After a couple of hours, we decided we had our fill and were ready for some food! We found this nice little place called ChowTime! They serve Chinese, Vietnamese food and bubble tea!

I got the Chicken Vietnamese Sandwich with a Honeydew bubble tea. So good!

We hung around a little bit after before deciding to head home. I still had a 2 hour train ride XD

It was a lot of fun. I got to hang out with friends that I haven't seen in a long time, see amazing costumes and it was good just to be out of the house! I know I hope to go again next year!
