Day At the Museum! (Photo Heavy Post!)

Hiyo lil bunnies~!

(See what I did there with the title? XD )

Recently, a couple of friends and I went to the Museum of Natural History in Manhattan! We were originally going to check out the butterfly exhibit before it closed for the season but we were too late. :< The museum has live butterflies floating around for the springtime but the last day was May 25th. We were able to get there on the 28th. Bummer.

But instead, we decided to use our passes to go see a couple of the other special exhibits. The one we ended up going to was Life at the Limits. It started with a small movie clip at the beginning that showed how animals adapt to the changing environment in the most extreme ways. Then you got to walk down a path that showed a lot of the different animals and insects and how they adapt to survive.

Here are some of the photos I took!

Did you know that plant life at the bottom of the ocean have a special way of reproducing?! According to the guide, there is only one full moon every year where tons of eggs and sperm are released into the water! And when they meet, they float back down and start growing!

I love these little guys! There were actual live Axolotl in a tank! Isn't he a cutie? X3

More after the cut! <3

Thankfully not a real one xD

Have you heard about this beach in Japan with stars in the sand?! It's called Star Sand Beach on Iriomote Island! Here is a sample~

After seeing all we could see in this exhibit, we still wanted to explore some more of the museum. I haven't been in this place so long and there were a ton of areas that I don't remember or never saw before! So one of my friends suggested we check out the crystal and mineral exhibits!

So many beautiful pieces! Definitely a great place to see for study or just because you love shinies like me! xD I have to say a lot of the crystals reminded me of Sailor Moon. <3 We all went camera happy and took a ton of photos! Since I took so many, I'll end my writing here so you can enjoy! Hope you like them!

Click on the photos if you want to see them bigger!

That's all for now! See you next time!
