Manga Heroes [10-16-2012]

After being sick and then going on my mini-vacation, I had to work my way back onto my posting schedule. I'm almost there!Though there won't be a review tomorrow, I will have a nice review on the video game Eternal Sonata coming up this Friday! It will make up for me not participating in Lolita Blog Carnival this week.

Anyhoo - after a long and crappy day at work, I came home to read some of the Twitter tweets I had missed. I got so happy when I found out that my manga hero, Hiro Mashima, now has a Twitter! For those of you that don't know, Hiro Mashima is the creator of Fairy Tail and Rave Master! He has such an awesome way of creating stories about friendship, love and never giving up. I also had the wonderful chance to meet him at a con! I will never forget that moment and I'll always be a fangirl.

Coffee or Tea? [10-15-2012]

As a Lolita, I know the preferred drink is a nice warm cup of tea. But the only times I have ever had to drink tea were at Chinese restaurants or when I'm sick. So tea is not a very good friend to me. Though I have found that I do like Chrysanthemum. It's sweet enough where I don't need sugar or milk/cream. Coffee is my favorite...ha ha... Which drink do you prefer?

{Lolita Blog Carnival} WEEK 3: 3 Prints You Would Like to See [10-12-2012]

Happy Friday, lil bunnies! It's almost the weekend and that means another post for the Lolita Blog Carnival! I am really loving the community. Everyone is so nice and we have really great discussion ideas for our blogs. This week's discussion is.....

"3 Prints You Would Like to See"

I thought a lot about this because I wanted to choose prints that have never been done before. At least I hope they haven't been. Though I'm sure at least one of them really hasn't.

1. Gentleman Bunnies
This may sound weird but I've always loved the idea of cute fuzzy bunnies dressed up in vintage suits, top hats and maybe even throw in a monocle. I don't know why I really want this as a print but in my mind, it just sounds adorable. And with the right accessories or pieces, you could probably even play up the gentleman look. I would totally get a OP or a skirt of this!

2. Little Twin Stars
For as long as I can remember, I've been a big fan of these adorable Sanrio characters. Kiki and Lala have to be the cutest twins I've ever seen and they would definitely make a sweet print. I mean, you could probably even take some of the wallpapers that Sanrio makes of them and turn them into a dress! They just scream Lolita.

3. Rainbow Brite Star Sprinkles
Stars and Lolita have been together for a very long time. And there are many variations on star prints. But am I the only one that would love to see these stars specifically? They're simple but I think if you find a way to include their brilliant shine into the print, I think they would be perfect for something like a JSK or maybe even a tiered skirt. And we could even add in the color belt as a trim!

If anyone is a dress maker and into Lolita, please check out these ideas of mine and some of the other Lolita bloggers at LBC so we can make at least one of these dreams come true! I would totally want these coords. Wouldn't you?

Don't forget to see what some of our bloggers have posted on this topic as well:

{Lolita Blog Carnival} WEEK 2: 3 Trends you could never get into [10-05-2012]

Hello, everyone! Happy Friday! Today starts a new series for my blog. Recently, I joined a group called "Lolita Blog Carnival" and this week's topic is on.....

"3 Trends You Could Never Get Into"

Everyone has a fashion that they're into or that they like to follow. And in every fashion, there are things a person likes and things that they wouldn't like. And within those are things you appreciate but could never truly be into. For me, when it comes to Lolita fashion, these three come to mind:

(It's so cute but too much for me to try)

1. Decora
Decora, for those that don't know, is basically when a Lolita "decorates" herself with as much cute stuff as possible. That can mean piling on the hair accessories, bracelets or even rings. I can admit, it can be cute - but for the most part, it just looks to be too much. I like my accessories but I don't like wearing my whole collection. This is actually one of the trends that I don't like.

2. Fawn Fur
This trend has been around for a bit and I'm still unsure about it. I like to believe that the fur is fake but you can't be too sure. I have seen hats, wraps and even boot covers that look like the hide of a baby deer. Spots and all. This one bothers me more than Decora because anything that resembles fur actually upsets me. I could never wear real fur and definitely wouldn't wear fake either. (It just looks too real!)

3. Bonnets
This is actually one trend I love! But I don't think bonnets suit me. There are some dresses/coords that just go perfectly with a bonnet. But I think the face has to be fitting for a bonnet. Mine is more of an oval and may be a bit long for this type of headdress. Though one day, I would like to try it just to say I did. I do find bonnets go better with smaller and rounder faces - like a porcelain doll.

Now, some of you might be asking "What the heck is a Lolita Blog Carnival?". It's actually a pretty cool group! It's basically a community where Lolitas of all styles come together to meet new friends, share all kinds of things and have weekly discussions (every Friday!). If you're a Lolita with a blog, click on the picture above and visit us on our Facebook page! It's a closed group so if you'd like - apply for an invite! There's also a Twitter you can follow. Hope you'll join us!

My Three-Day Getaway! [10-04-2012]

♥ Last year's photo of when I went upstate during the winter ♥

Hello, little bunnies! Just thought I should let you all know that after tomorrow's post, I will be away for the three-day weekend! But don't fret - I will still have Twitter on my phone! I hope everyone will have a great weekend!
