We Interrupt This "What's In The Box Wednesday" For An Important Post...

Hi all! Hope everyone is doing well! I know today is usually when I do "What's In The Box Wednesday" but today is a bit of a special post. Today I took the bunnies for their first checkup at a very nice vet called Catnip & Carrots!

It's a very nice vet office not too far from where I live that specializes in, yep, you guessed it - Cats and Rabbits! They're all so sweet in there and extremely helpful! It was Snow and Boo's first checkup so I was really nervous! The doctor looked over the both of them (one at a time of course xD ) and taught my mom and me a lot about rabbits! She even has a few herself ^-^ So I knew that my babies were in good hands.

With each, she and her assistant handled them with care, checking their bodies, teeth, listened to their heartbeats and even told me.......................

They're girls! 

I was so surprised to find out that my babies are girls! But I'm also glad that the names I chose could be used by either gender xD The doctor also gave me a packet of everything I need to know to keep my girls happy so they will be healthy.

So it all worked out in the end. They're healthy and I have a great vet to trust them with. I will be going back in early spring so I can get them spayed. Spaying and neutering your pets is very important! It prevents overpopulation and it helps your pet live a longer and healthier life with you! So please be sure to do that if you haven't already!

And I am really happy with this vet! It's a very nice place and I know I can go there anytime I have a question or I need help. I can even pick up cute little treats or toys if they have some around. I will definitely post pictures of the girls in case you missed my previous post on them. ^-^

What's In The Box Wednesdays? 1 - 11 - 2012

Hello, Hello!

I see that I have new followers! Welcome and hope you enjoy reading my blog! I am so happy that I am getting more followers! I was beginning to think that I wouldn't have much of an audience.

But thanks to a very kind and dear lady and her uber sweet blog post, Sweet Suzette, did a very awesome post about my site and I got some more followers! Thankies so muchly!

For this week's "What's In The Box?", I bought a few cute things! I was in the shop, waiting for my mom to arrive since we had both gotten out of work and we were going to get food anyway, I decided to look around. And I saw a few things I didn't expect to find in this store.

This store can basically be described as a Hallmark card shop, minus the name. But it has a lot of great things to buy as gifts. And it definitely has a lot of adorable things to see and perhaps purchase. :3

And for the first time ever in this place, I found.....HELLO KITTY STUFF!

They had a lot of stationary, pens, stickers, cups, bags and even screen cleaners. I bought a very cute Chococat card holder and a Hello Kitty screen cleaner in a bunny costume!

 Here is the card holder. Isn't it adorable? It is a simple metal one with a very nice print of Chococat and almost like a wallpaper background. I really like it a lot. It should really come in handy when I have my own business cards. :3

 

Just a peek inside the case. It's very reflective so I had to angle the camera so that no one would be blinded by the flash. xDDD

And here are a couple of photos of the screen cleaner. It's Hello Kitty in a bunny costume! Isn't she adorable?

 

 

Oh, that also reminds me! I still have my review to post up of a certain skirt I purchased. :3 And since that has been the spark of inspiration for some things I am working on, it will be part of my post on Sunday! So stay tuned for that! Thanks for reading, guys! Until next time~

What's In The Box Wednesdays?

Hello again! How are you all today? All rested up from all of the New Year parties? 

I didn't get to do much except for taking care of my babies and had a wonderful three day weekend.  I didn't have to do anything and I was happy with that xD

For today's post, I am going to be posting about this gorgeous pocket watch that I can't seem to find! But one thing people know about me is that I ADORE pocket watches. They're so classy and can be so intricate. From the gorgeous etchings into the casing to the ability to see the gears of the watch itself. How could you not want one?!

I found this image on Tumblr and started to search for it but I can't find it. It's of Little Twin Stars. Has anyone seen this outside of Tumblr? 

As you can see, it has a sweet little pink box with just the name and a little description of the characters themselves. The watch is a beautiful shiny yellow, not sure if it is gold plated or just painted. But it has a cute little star and the face of the watch is just so sweet. It looks like it has some star beads rolling around in between the face and the glass. It's just too sweet!

So if anyone has any information on it and where to get it, I would be most grateful! Until next time :3

What's In The Box Wednesdays?

So I finally decided it was time to get something more than accessories. I finally bought a coat! It took a little bit of time to have it made and sent to me but...the result was gorgeous!

I went through many Loli-type online boutiques and found one that was gorgeous, practical and still very Loli. It's a gorgeous coat from Qutieland!

Isn't it beautiful? I love wearing it! It really makes me feel one giant step closer to being a real Loli! 

 This is the package as it came to me (on Christmas Eve!!!!)

Of course I blocked out all of the personal information X3 . I was so excited when I got the package! I immediately grabbed the camera (having it on hand of course from taking pictures of the babies).

It was all neatly packaged and wrapped in plastic as it does have some faux fur and the material does catch hair quite easily. And it is really difficult with having a dog with blonde hair. 

But so far so good, I have been using the coat and no problems :3 And you can definitely tell the difference in picture quality of when I take pictures with my phone or my actual camera xD

Here is the lovely coat, just out of the plastic wrap. It was quite heavy but the quality is very good and it keeps me warm for NY winter. I am very happy with it.

Here is each piece. I hadn't realized from the photo on the site that there were parts xD On the left is the main coat. The top right is actually a little neck piece that goes over the coat's buttons and the bottom right is actually the bustle that goes in the back. Each piece is attached with two safety pins each.

Here is a closer picture for each piece so you can see the lacy detail. I love how the neck tie and the bustle fan out so you can see the gorgeous lace. When all put together this coat can make anyone feel like a Lolita or a Princess. All the while remaining nice and warm!

I can't get over how elegant this coat looks. Do you see how the neck tie adds an antique touch of elegance? It just keeps transforming with each piece you add on. And if I wanted to, I could add a cute brooch here and there!

My favorite part about the coat is the detail. I love the gem and chain adornments on the neck tie resting above the layers of lace. The other area that I love is near the bottom of the coat where you see a gorgeous embroidery of a bird in a cage. I couldn't get closer without cutting a part of the beautiful design. 

All in all, I love it. Yes, it does take about a month (as they state it on their site that it could take that long) but they do work with you. If you have questions, they are sure to answer them within a reasonable amount of time. Being one that rarely buys clothing online, much less from a Lolita type of shop, I found it very easy to order from them. I was worried that it would be too small. But they do communicate with you and they offer their best advice. You can even track your orders! And the results are even more amazing than any picture could show you. So I am very happy with my purchase. And the prices are just right. So if you ever go shopping for Loli, definitely try www.QutieLand.com. I will be buying from them again =)
