Okay, so I have quite a few. As I said in my last post, I got to meet up with some dear friends last night to celebrate my birthday! We met up in Manhattan in the evening for some dinner. It had a rocky start because it was the middle of rush hour so lots of train delays....
But we all finally made it to the place we were originally going to eat at. But it was so tiny and there weren't many seats left for the four of us. So we decided to check out other places. We found this awesome place called
Poke just a few doors down and it was already nicer. It was modern, clean and just quiet enough that we could actually enjoy ourselves.
I got the Kimchi Rice Bowl with a fried egg on top.
It was so good!
We sat for a while to chat before heading out for dessert.

The place we went to is called
Amorino.
It's a cute little cafe with several locations around the world with all kinds of yummy goodies. They have flavors like Chocolate, Raspberry, Salted Caramel and Dulce de Leche to name a few.
I got the medium size flower cone with Tiramisu as the center and Stracciatella as the petals. Isn't it gorgeous?!

We hung around there just chatting and having a good time until closing time. We took a cab home. It was so much fun. I really needed the break. I hope I have more fun outings like this more often.
