90s Tag!

Hiyo lil bunnies!

I found this uber cute tag on The Sugar Blog and thought I'd try it out. Also thinking about doing one for the 80s since that's when I was born~

1. Favorite TV Show

Growing up, I watched a ton of TV. But if I had to pick just one series, it would definitely be Boy Meets World. It was like having a drama made just for teens and wasn't just all about drugs and sex like a lot of shows are. And who doesn't love Mr. Feeny?!

2. Favorite Toy

Polly Pocket! I had so many of them. I even used to have the little people and animals visit other Polly Pockets.

3. Favorite Console Game

Super Nintendo: Super Mario World
Gameboy: Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Playstation: Final Fantasy 7

4. Remember a TV Ad

5. Favorite Disney Movie

Live Action: Mighty Ducks
Animated: Mulan

6. Favorite Treat

Back before I became allergic to peanuts and peanut butter, I was obsessed with Planters P.B. Crisps and Chocolate Crisps. They don't make them anymore but they were sooooooo good! They were basically like peanut shaped cookies and had peanut butter or chocolate as filling! I miss them. :(

7. Backstreet Boys or N*Sync

I was definitely a BSB fan. The guys in the group were just way cuter and they had Nick! <3 Plus the music was catchier.

8. Craziest Fashion You Had

It was definitely during my Grunge phase. Baggy ripped jeans and flannel shirts. What was I thinking?

9. What Did You Collect?

Oh man... I was such a pack rat. I collected a lot of things! Pogs, Polly Pocket, McDonald's toys, Beanie Babies, Power Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Lisa Frank and so much more!

10. How Many Tamagotchis Did You Kill?

Honestly? Probably the last one I was taking care of. xD I managed to keep them alive for a long time. But I think it was definitely the last time I was playing with it. I got bored and put it away...

11. Favorite Book

Basically anything written by R. L. Stine. I was never a huge fan of horror but his books were so mild that I could handle them no problem. Especially the Goosebumps series!

12. Favorite McDonalds Toy

McDino Changeables~ They were dinosaurs that could transform into McDonalds menu items. They were really cool! XD

13. What Shows Did You Watch After School?

As long as homework got done, I was able to watch TV right after school. I remember watching all of the Disney cartoons on the Disney Afternoon block and The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! Those were great.

Hope you enjoyed this post! If anyone would like to do this, feel free! I'd love to see your answers! <3

30 Day Video Game Challenge - Day 8: Best Soundtrack

Hiyo, lil bunnies!

Today I bring you...

Day 8: Best Soundtrack

Drakengard 3/Drag-On Dragoon 3

After going through my collection and much thinking, I think I love this game's soundtrack the most. It's pretty much the only one that I listen to 90% of all the tracks.

A problem I have with basically any kind of music I listen to is that I only find a few songs I like out of the whole album! But with the Drakengard 3 soundtrack, I love almost every single piece. Even if you don't like the game series, it's a beautiful thing to listen to.

Kawaii Review: Puppy!Repede Cup & Plate Set (And news!)

Hiyo Bunnies!

I have another review for you today~ It's another adorable addition to my slowly growing Tales of Collection. It's the Tales of Series Melamine Cup & Plate set of my favorite puppy, Repede!

This time, I was able to order it myself directly (without use of a shopping service) from the website CDJapan. If you've never heard of or used CDJapan before, it's a shopping site where you can get a lot of books, apparel, movies, toys and other goodies. It's more than just anime so don't forget to look around!

I wasn't able to get the set on the LalaBit Market like I got the Repede plush but I managed to snatch it up on CDJapan! This was also a pre-order so I had to wait about a month before it was officially released and sent to my home. After shipping, it was about 2353¥ so it wasn't really expensive at all. Then finally it arrived in the mail after about another 2 weeks.

The box was a little beat up, despite being marked fragile, but melamine is a little sturdier than your regular plastic. So long as it had some sort of protection, I was fine with it.

Here is what it looked like inside. I guess having that much space and paper really did help somehow. @_@;

Here is the set outside of the box, still in the wrapping.

Annnnnd out of the wrapping! I left the plastic covers on to prevent dust from getting in.

I am never using this set. This is pure collection only.

The pattern is the same on the plate and the cup but it's Puppy!Repede so how can you not love it? It reminds me of a character expression sheet, giving us different angles of this cutie. It says his name Repede in the banner in the center. It also has the name of his game Tales of Vesperia with the copyright of BNGI. The color scheme is basically his coat (blue x white).

The back of the plate is just plain white with the official label. I'm not sure what the sticker says but it looks like contact information for the company.

Here is the front of the cup, with the proud little Puppy!Repede standing with his little pipe.

And the image just winds around just like it is on the plate.

As I said, this is a pure collectible piece and will never use it. It's too precious for words and I do love how the color scheme reflects his fur. Along with Repede, there are two other plate sets and they are in the colors of the animals as well. The others are Teepo from Tales of Xillia (pink x purple) and Lulu (green x white) from Tales of Xillia 2.

Sadly, both this set and the Repede plush I did a review on earlier, are no longer available for purchase. Repede is a very popular Tales animal mascot and sells out super fast. If you're a fan like me, buy him up as soon as you see him! Because who knows how long he'll be there.

Hope you enjoyed this review!

Also~

Rainbow Star Candy will be closed for vacation starting next week for about 3 weeks. So I will not be posting except for maybe Instagram. I'll be back on a regular posting schedule as well as have some new goodies up on the Etsy shop when I return!

See you soon!

30 Day Video Game Challenge - Day 7: Favorite Game Couple [02-26-15]

Hiyo, Bunnies!

Today I'd like to tell you about my Favorite Game Couple! A lot of video games, especially in RPGs, have romance. Or there is at least a character, if not the main, that gets a love interest. For most of the Final Fantasy series, the story revolves around it. For other games, it just kind of happens. And then, there are the games that you would never think would have a romance. I've noticed these tend to be horror or survival games.

I'm hoping there is someone out there reading this knows or remembers this series as these games were my favorite games for a very long time. Not many people played them because they weren't as super popular and the fighting system was a bit different from the norm.

I'm talking about
Shadow Hearts

The first Shadow Hearts is an old PS2 game from Azure and Midway in 2001. It is the direct sequel to an older game on the PS1 called Koudelka. The story revolves around a young man named Yuri who has the power to change into the monsters he defeated and fused with. He was sent by a mysterious voice to protect a priest's daughter named Alice who has the ability to heal and perform exorcisms.

As the story progresses, you see these two characters develop from being just a typical skirt-chaser kind of guy and a naive girl to a real relationship. Yuri soon realizes that this is more than just a mission to save a girl.

That everything happens for a reason and that the voice speaking to him is not just there to drive him crazy. He sees that she is able to tame his demons. That she is literally his guardian angel.

I won't go any farther into details but their relationship is pretty important to the story and it turns out to be really sweet! Now if you do intend to play, remember that it is a horror game. There are a lot of demons and creatures from actual folklore. But if that's your type of game or you're like me that feel you can handle it, definitely try to find a copy of this game! It's so worth it!

See you soon!
