Follow the Music: Eternal Sonata Review [10-19-2012]
Happy Friday! You might be expecting a Lolita Blog Carnival post today but I have chosen not to participate this week. Hopefully for the next one I will! Today will be more of a thought/review!

As you know, I own the XBOX360 version of Eternal Sonata (aka "Trusty Bell - Chopin's Dream"). It took me a while to finish it because my first system broke down on me. I was so upset because it was the system (thankfully not the hard drive) and I really wanted to continue playing this game!
I am a big fan of classical music but I don't know a lot about the history of the composers. Eternal Sonata actually gives the player the opportunity to learn about the life of one of the most famous composers - Frédéric François Chopin.
Yes, the Polish composer that lived in the early 1800s and created beautiful pieces like "Funeral March in C Minor" and "Fantaisie-Impromptu in C-sharp Minor".In Eternal Sonata, we learn that Chopin is in his final hours, his body very weak from having Tuberculosis. He's unconscious in his bed as the doctor and two women (probably one of them being his lover) watch him as it was explained that this night would be his most trying time yet.
We soon go into a world that doesn't seem to match where Chopin is. There, we meet many different characters. We have the heroic Allegretto. The innocent Beat. The pure Polka. (Sounds very fitting for a game about a composer right?) There are more characters named Viola, Serenade, Crescendo, March, Salsa, Claves, Jazz and Falsetto.
And would you believe that all of these are playable characters?! (The only sad part is that Prince Crescendo and Princess Serenade are only available to join your team on the PS3 version of the game.)Each character has their own part in the story but all reach to the same ultimate goal and each have their own skills. Polka is a great healer while March is a power hitter (and great for combos). I just love the fact that they are all named after musical terms!
The game has a pretty good story. Basically, each of the characters have something they want to protect but feel threatened by the evil Count Waltz. The Count has a plan for the people of the world to use a harmful substance called Mineral Powder. It's supposed to be used as medicine but has bad side effects. Polka has a more natural version called Floral Powder which actually is a medicine.
As you can tell by the original name of the game, the events of these characters' story takes place in Chopin's dream while he sleeps. During the course of events, we also get nice interludes that feature not only a select piece by Chopin, but a story of the composer's real life. Honestly, if it weren't for this game, I wouldn't have learned so much about what he's been through.

I won't say everything but Chopin has been through a lot. He escaped the coming revolution in Poland and could never get back home. He was homesick and sad that he lost the place he belonged. A lot of his music was based on his feelings and how much he missed Poland. He was glad to be alive but it's still difficult to go on when you can't go home. Many themes like being homesick, running away, fighting for what's right and friendship are big things in this game.
I think Eternal Sonata did a great job of not only teaching us about such an amazing composer, but teaching us about music and fighting for our beliefs. I didn't go a lot into details because the experience I got from playing is something I'll always treasure.
It has a beautiful soundtrack and amazing visuals. And the clothing design even looks like variations of Lolita! ♥ Even the battles are fun. I highly recommend this game to any RPG and/or music lover! Won't you give it a try?Until next time~

{Lolita Blog Carnival} WEEK 3: 3 Prints You Would Like to See [10-12-2012]
Happy Friday, lil bunnies! It's almost the weekend and that means another post for the Lolita Blog Carnival! I am really loving the community. Everyone is so nice and we have really great discussion ideas for our blogs. This week's discussion is....."3 Prints You Would Like to See"
I thought a lot about this because I wanted to choose prints that have never been done before. At least I hope they haven't been.
Though I'm sure at least one of them really hasn't.1. Gentleman Bunnies
This may sound weird but I've always loved the idea of cute fuzzy bunnies dressed up in vintage suits, top hats and maybe even throw in a monocle. I don't know why I really want this as a print but in my mind, it just sounds adorable. And with the right accessories or pieces, you could probably even play up the gentleman look. I would totally get a OP or a skirt of this!
2. Little Twin Stars
For as long as I can remember, I've been a big fan of these adorable Sanrio characters. Kiki and Lala have to be the cutest twins I've ever seen and they would definitely make a sweet print. I mean, you could probably even take some of the wallpapers that Sanrio makes of them and turn them into a dress! They just scream Lolita.
3. Rainbow Brite Star Sprinkles
Stars and Lolita have been together for a very long time. And there are many variations on star prints. But am I the only one that would love to see these stars specifically? They're simple but I think if you find a way to include their brilliant shine into the print, I think they would be perfect for something like a JSK or maybe even a tiered skirt. And we could even add in the color belt as a trim!
If anyone is a dress maker and into Lolita, please check out these ideas of mine and some of the other Lolita bloggers at LBC so we can make at least one of these dreams come true!
I would totally want these coords. Wouldn't you?Don't forget to see what some of our bloggers have posted on this topic as well:

{Lolita Blog Carnival} WEEK 2: 3 Trends you could never get into [10-05-2012]
Hello, everyone! Happy Friday! Today starts a new series for my blog. Recently, I joined a group called "Lolita Blog Carnival" and this week's topic is on.....
"3 Trends You Could Never Get Into"
Everyone has a fashion that they're into or that they like to follow. And in every fashion, there are things a person likes and things that they wouldn't like. And within those are things you appreciate but could never truly be into.
For me, when it comes to Lolita fashion, these three come to mind:
(It's so cute but too much for me to try)
1. Decora
Decora, for those that don't know, is basically when a Lolita "decorates" herself with as much cute stuff as possible. That can mean piling on the hair accessories, bracelets or even rings. I can admit, it can be cute - but for the most part, it just looks to be too much. I like my accessories but I don't like wearing my whole collection. This is actually one of the trends that I don't like.
2. Fawn Fur
This trend has been around for a bit and I'm still unsure about it. I like to believe that the fur is fake but you can't be too sure. I have seen hats, wraps and even boot covers that look like the hide of a baby deer. Spots and all. This one bothers me more than Decora because anything that resembles fur actually upsets me. I could never wear real fur and definitely wouldn't wear fake either. (It just looks too real!)

3. Bonnets
This is actually one trend I love! But I don't think bonnets suit me. There are some dresses/coords that just go perfectly with a bonnet. But I think the face has to be fitting for a bonnet. Mine is more of an oval and may be a bit long for this type of headdress. Though one day, I would like to try it just to say I did. I do find bonnets go better with smaller and rounder faces - like a porcelain doll.
Now, some of you might be asking "What the heck is a Lolita Blog Carnival?".
It's actually a pretty cool group! It's basically a community where Lolitas of all styles come together to meet new friends, share all kinds of things and have weekly discussions (every Friday!). If you're a Lolita with a blog, click on the picture above and visit us on our Facebook page! It's a closed group so if you'd like - apply for an invite! There's also a Twitter you can follow. Hope you'll join us!

Sweet Sunday: Lolita Prints! [09-30-2012]
Sweet
Sunday!
Hello, little bunnies! Hope you're having a good weekend!
Today is more of a discussion for you guys. I'm a new Loli but there is one thing I've noticed. I tend to like prints that involve stars, horses/unicorns and food. Even more of the accessories I tend to get have at least one of these elements. Maybe it's just my passions from my childhood when I was really into My Little Pony and the cute chubby stars from the Mario games.
Whatever it is, I'm glad I am into the Lolita fashion because I can still love all of these things and wear them too! What are your favorite prints? Lolita or not.

Early Halloween Planning! [ 09-08-2012]
Image from Tumblr
I know it's a little early but yesterday I found out at work that the office holds Halloween events and contests!
We can dress up in costume and also participate in a contest on baking and decorating what we make in the Halloween theme. Since this is the only time really that I can get away with what I really want to wear (aka Lolita and other fashions of the like - just bummed
I can't wear stuff like that everyday or work in a place surrounded by it) I'm going to take full advantage! This year I think I'll do Fairy Kei/80s look and make a super duper adorable cake or cupcake. I'll take pics of what I do! This will be exciting!
