My Video Game Life: Pokemon Edition

My Video Game Life: Pokemon Edition

Hello Hello, Lil Buns!

I think you buns knew this was coming. As I'm sure you all know, I have played video games since I was a kid. My mom and uncle had an Atari and the original NES. So of course I was going to become a gamer. 30 years later, I'm still playing. Mostly thanks to my Darling who plays some of these games with me. One of them being Pokemon.

Pokemon is one of those games where all ages can enjoy. That's pretty amazing considering it just turned 20 years old! It's gotten so popular that it's gone beyond the games. We've got clothing, art, merch, a mobile app and tons of adorable plushies!

Here are some things in my collection~

As you can see, I love the plushies the most XD
I also have Pokemon Red, Yellow and X! Hoping to get Pokemon Moon when it finally comes out.

Finally started playing Pokemon Go as well! Here are some of my catches~

Do you love Pokemon? What's your favorite way to collect them?

That's all for now! See you next time!

Hello Hello, Lil Buns!

30 Day Video Game Challenge:
Day 15 - Post a Screenshot from the Game You're Playing Now

Pokemon Yellow

20 years later, I'm still playing Pokemon! I only got to play Pokemon Red when it came out in the 90s but my Darling is still very much into the games. So of course, I got back into the games (mostly for the cute characters though XD ). I now have Yellow on my 3DS!

What game are you playing now?

That's all for now! See you next time!

Kawaii Review: Doki Doki Subscription Box by Japan Crate

Hiyo lil bunnies!

How are you all? I brought another review for you today~!

I decided to try subscription boxes again and this one is from Japan Crate. It's called

Doki Doki

For those of you that don't know "Doki Doki" is the sound your heart makes in Japanese. Pretty cute right?

Let's get started~

Everything arrived in this adorable pink box! It's nice and sturdy so nothing was crushed.

I do admit, I love how they designed the outside.

And here we are inside!
This box just screams kawaii. There are cute little illustrations with the logo.

Sitting right on top is a little booklet that has a comic, a list of what you get inside as well as contests and fan photos.

I believe the book covers are based on a mascot.

Quick photo of all the things I got! Let's check them out.

Rilakkuma Stationary Book set
It has 4 different pads of cute little note paper. It even folds down to like a mini book! Very cute~

Baby Alpacasso
The one I got is a sweet little white Alpaca wearing a little bowtie with strawberries. It's super soft and fuzzy and fits just about anywhere.

Domo Stickers
I received 4 different stickers of everyone's favorite little monster.

Hoppe Chan
This little item is actually my most favorite out of the box! According to the booklet, it's a famous Japanese character found in convenience stores. I never thought a jelly could be so adorable XD

Sushi Socks
These are such awesome socks! When rolled up a certain way, they look exactly like the sushi you'd eat. Don't try to eat these though lol!

I love everything I got so far! But here's where we run into a little trouble though...

Sailor Moon Blind Box Figure
I'm not an expert on Sailor Moon items but I feel that this may not be legit. The box images are very poor, like a bad reprint. I do know that official Sailor Moon merch should have at least a print of the official sticker. I found nothing. It also doesn't help that it says it was made in China and not Japan.

The character I got was Sailor Saturn! The figure itself is still pretty cute and an okay make. The paint and sculpt is decent. (Stand looks abused though Dx ) Though like I said, I am doubting this is real Sailor Moon merch.

Hello Kitty Wallet
Here is another item that I am feeling is a replica. The outside features Hello Kitty in two different outfits. The print is very clear and clean. But it's inside where I start becoming doubtful.

Usually Sanrio decorates EVERYTHING when it comes to wallets. Even the zipper pull itself will have some kind of kawaii element. The inside is just a plain brown and there are a ton of loose threads. I couldn't even find a Sanrio tag!

Pikachu Hip Pop Parade Plush
Nintendo had come out with a series of Pokemon butts! XD It's an adorable concept. Especially if you love cute animal booties. (Owning a bunny will do that to you lol) In this box, everyone got a cute little Pikachu butt.

But sadly, it's another one I'm thinking is not legit. Here is a side by side comparison of what I got versus the real one. The tail is not even attached properly and there are loose threads again. The tag tries to look real but there is no official Nintendo logo and some of the copyright text is wrong. So sad =/

Sentimental Circus Fan
I love San-X Sentimental Circus! This is such a cute fan but some of the colors were scratched off and there is no official logo. :(

Overall Rating

This was not that great of an experience for me. I usually love to get subscription boxes but this one was a bit of a disappointment. I didn't contact anyone to get this box so it's not applicable to my rating. The price would be great if it was all just real kawaii merchandise. Even if it's lots of offbrand stuff and not expensive like Pokemon and Sailor Moon tend to be. I would be fine with anything kawaii. And while they didn't say anywhere that it was to be all non-bootleg stuff, at 30$ it's a bit much to pay. Shipping was free so that was not an issue. The first few items are great quality and everything was very cute. But the last few items suffered greatly in quality and were not official. I feel like I don't want to try my luck again with next month's box. It's surprising considering how well their regular subscription of Japan Crate is so great.

I'm sorry, but I don't think I will be continuing my subscription.

That's just my honest opinion.

Hope you liked my review!
